Cypress Veterinary Clinic is looking for our first Associate Veterinarian! CVC is owned by a local Veterinarian (Mom with a VMD to 2 young kids) with 19 years of experience. Here you can practice Veterinary Medicine and leave the technical skills to our 3 licensed technicians and skilled Veterinary Assistants.

Cypress Veterinary Clinic opened May 2022 and is owned by a solo independent Veterinarian. We are not corporate. We are growing and are looking to add hours and potentially offer new services to our clients. To be short and sweet here is what CVC is about, we love animals and our families and strive to give every employee time with both. Our 3000 sq ft building is BRAND new and has 5 exam rooms! We have digital X-ray, Dental X-ray, Central O2, a surgical suite, a Cloud based software, complete Idexx In-house Lab suite, Reference lab with Idexx, Companion laser, a decent ultrasound, an oxygen cage, Doppler, full anesthetic monitoring, well stocked pharmacy, On-line pharmacies with VetSource and Chewy, offer array of general surgeries, dentistry and have a boarded surgeon come for TPLOs, fracture repairs and more! We can do complete abdominal ultrasounds in house by a technician that are read by a boarded radiologist. We also do chemotherapy under the guidance of a boarded oncologist. We hope to add more to be added as we grow.

Hours: We are open 8-6pm M-F. NO weekends, NO holidays, NO on-call. Part-time or Full-time. Goal is to allow Dr. Johnson a day off per week!

Compensation: We can structure pay how you prefer: salary, hourly, base + compensation. Compensation would be based off experience and productions. Base $100-$125,000 for F/T

Benefits F/T: Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, AFLAC, Loan Reimbursement, Pet discounts, 3 weeks Paid Vacation, CE stipend and extra days for CE, Scrub allowance after 90 days. Maternity Leave after 1 year employment (with AFLAC, percentage of gross covered for 12 weeks). AVMA, PA licensing, PLIT, VIN, Plumbs, etc

About You:

-Current licensed VMD or DVM in good standing

-Prefer 2+ years experience but willing to mentor a new graduate!

-A happy, agreeable, dependable, willing to teach, willing to learn, wants the hospital to do well, kind, team player!

-Loves medicine and surgery. Loves their patients

-Strive to continue to learn to stay current in the field, practice great standard of care and record keeping

-Willing to help the small independent and woman owned Veterinary practice survive

-Have an interest you would like to add to our hospital: Exotics? Acupuncture? Rehab?

-Are able to communicate effectively with owners, the staff, the office manager and myself

-Organized and keep things neat in your work space

-Able to manage time well and juggle tasks

-Sense of humor! Can take a joke and realize we all are here living the dream because we want to help the pets!
