The Independent Veterinary Practitioners Association (IVPA) is the first nonprofit association dedicated to uniting and empowering independent veterinarians in continuing to shape the business and practice of animal health care.
A decades-long trend toward consolidation and the introduction of new players (large corporations, acquisition groups, private equity investment firms, etc.) may have altered the landscape of veterinary medicine, but the game is far from over. Independent veterinarians remain a force to reckon with, comprising the majority of hospital ownership in the United States.
And as the saying goes, there is strength in numbers.
